Shipwreck

One of Addu Atoll’s most iconic dive sites is the British Loyalty wreck—a 134-meter-long British oil tanker sunk during World War II. Resting at a depth of around 33 meters, this massive structure has transformed into an artificial reef, now covered in soft corals and bustling with marine life. Divers can explore its towering propeller, open cargo holds, and coral-encrusted hull while spotting schools of snapper, batfish, and even the occasional ray or shark. With its rich history and thriving ecosystem, the wreck offers a unique blend of heritage and underwater beauty, making it a must-visit for wreck diving enthusiasts.

Year Round

Manta's

Manta rays are a year-round highlight in Addu Atoll, making it one of the few places in the Maldives where divers can reliably encounter these majestic creatures in every season. The most famous site is the Manta Cleaning Station in Maa Kandu, where mantas gather to be groomed by cleaner fish—a mesmerizing natural ritual that unfolds at depths of around 17 to 20 meters. With calm conditions and excellent visibility, Addu offers consistent opportunities to observe mantas gliding effortlessly through the water, often in groups, making each dive a graceful and unforgettable experience.
